St. John's Lutheran Church | Georgia
Georgia's St. John's Lutheran Church, organized in 1869, is the oldest Lutheran church in Atlanta. The sanctuary, added on in 1969, is a contemporary octagonal shape representing the "eighth day of creation" (our new creation through our baptism into the death and resurrection of Jesus), was considered very contemporary in 1969" (How clever is that?). I met the recently reinstated "Gay" pastor, Brad Schmeling at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in 2008 as part of a forum of gay discrimination in the church. We’ll be there tomorrow.

[mom said] Chapter 11---great closing even with my favorite person Clarise (smile). Let me know how the Lutheran services are in Atlanta. The blog page was tired for 25mins. I don't know why I am unable to sign in. Maybe because I am not suppose to BLOG. love you.
ReplyDeleteThe Lutheran Church was fantastic. Good Homily (A.S.K. about it) and great people in the congregation. Only one problem, it was HOT! I don't think they have air conditioning.
ReplyDelete[mikey said] Hey how was the concert? Also - where was he playing? That must have been a special show, because he is due back in ATL in August and Monica will be there as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you fell for the Trey Songz stories. You are fun. Let's travel someplace together in 2011 and renew the laughs!
ReplyDelete[pastor bradley said] Hi Ernest, or should I say "Tahlib," I'll be there, and it will be great to welcome you to St. John's on Sunday. Make sure you find me after church. It would be wonderful to see you.
ReplyDeletePeace,
