Have you been to Atlanta and/or Minneapolis? My husband and I are driving to both cities to visit my family. We would love some "to-do" suggestions for our drives, and while in these two great cities. Don't be shy, send something adventurous our way!
[coupe said] Go to the Mall of America (www.mallofamerica.com). Lots to do.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I know if Shopping is on the menu my hubby will say YES! Plus we collect snow globes from Saks 5th Ave. I think we've both been there before but we will visit again for sure!
ReplyDelete[coupe said] Don't forget, MOA has a lot of entertainment and attractions! It is not just shopping. Have a great trip! Tell EOB to get off his A$$!! HA
ReplyDeleteThanks Steve. We can't wait and my hubby is very very busy!
ReplyDelete[gina said] I lived in Minneapolis for 7 years...however, if you are going to Minnesota in the Fall, you should drive to Duluth, MN...leaves changing colors are so awesome...used to go every year with friends. Duluth is a great resort town. In Minneapolis, walk around Lake Calhoun or Lake Harriet...eat at Figlio's. There are many jazz clubs in Minneapolis...The Fine Line. Also, St Paul is nice too...little older. Of course you you can also visit Mall of America...and ride the indoor roller coaster...how's that for adventure...lol :)
ReplyDeleteThanks cous for all those suggestions. It won't quite be the fall when we go. I have been on that coaster, I think it goes 10 miles per hour! LOL
ReplyDelete[coupe said] I'm sure the hubby is very busy. But he still needs to get off his a$$! HA HA
ReplyDeleteI will relay the message, but I don't understand. His book will be available for you to purchase soon!
ReplyDeleteEven better than shopping would be to go to the Wausau Arts Festival, weekend of 9/11-12. It's one of the top 20 in country and we have to drive through Wisconsin to get to Minnesota anyway. (http://www.wausaufoa.org/)It's 3 hrs due East of Minneapolis (I'll post directions on calendar--please save). Also, while in MN, we have to visit the Walker Art Center.
ReplyDelete[leslie said] I will give you two of my favorite places to eat-in Atlanta I LOVE the Buckhead Diner-and in Minneapolis when we lived there a thousand years ago our favorite place to eat was the Lotus it is still there and imagine it is just as yummy! You all could always hit yoga and hoop with Golden Gofer if you are looking for wild things to doJ. Lots of love-Leslie
ReplyDelete[leodance said] My folks are originally from ATL so all my relatives are there. (My older brother owns a strip club downtown lol) I'm sure someone has recommended the aquarium, the MLK gravesite and possibly stone mountain as things to see.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sir! Actually not all of those recommendations have been made so thanks!! We will pass on the strip club though....LOL
ReplyDeleteLeslie, Thanks for the TO Do's, especially the suggested eating places.
ReplyDelete[ted said] Ok the place I was thinking of [in Minneapolis] is called Cafe Lurcat and Bar. I found them in Naples FLA and when I was in Minn there was one there as well apparently the only two. Very good and they have a website so you can check out the menu and see if it is something you & Greg might like. Bon Appetite!
