Book Title Winner
Thanks to all of you who took the time to vote for best manuscript title last week. The top vote-getter is "My Story: A PR Journey" submitted by Allen in NYC, but all nominations were memorable. Voters must claim your prize for that fabulous overnight in Green Acres by Thursday, July 23.

I like the name even though its not mine. Does everybody who claims their prize have to set a date or have to spend the evening by this Thursday? LOL!!
ReplyDeleteLOL...just pick a date (but no one will). It's just banter.
ReplyDelete[organ said] Honestly and with all due respect and love, I don't like it and it appears self-serving. SO, it's your "journey" but as you know, there are multiple perspectives on the PR activities of NURFC. It was everyone's journey. Of course, I wish you luck and success and suspect, you might be mad at me for a while.
ReplyDeleteI so agree that there are multiple perspectives on PR; as there were with the Exhibits, the Architecture, the Marketing, the Fundraising, etc. There is room for all those people to write books too. Don't make such a big deal out of this. I asked people to vote for their favorite title and one title one. While the book is personal the title pick is not "self-serving." My favorite title didn't win either. It's just the results. Go back to bed and this time try to wake up with a smile..."all due respect and love" of course.
ReplyDelete[organ said] No need to go back to bed! It's your book and I am over it! smile.
ReplyDelete[gina said] Boo! (smile)
ReplyDeleteGina, sorry the majority didn't support your suggestions but they were still good ones.
ReplyDelete[gina said] No, I did not...I thought you would have chosen something with the word "freedom" in it. By the way..........BOO! :) lol
ReplyDeleteI didn't "choose". The voters chose!
ReplyDelete[organ said] I'm just glad I didn't reply "all"!
ReplyDelete[gina said] Yeah, right! Dictators do not allow true democratic votes! Lol
ReplyDeleteI guess that's true but a promise is a promise; and I put it in print. Beside's it's only the manuscript title. Who knows what the publishers will decide is the final title.
ReplyDelete[gina said] Do you have a contact name and number for the publisher??? I am sure title will be readily accepted...lol
ReplyDeleteNo author that I've read about has ever picked their book title on their own (even Hemingway). It's always the marketer/publisher who makes that final call; but yes, I've built my list of top 10 publishers. They are below:
ReplyDeleteSimon & Shuster
Alfred Knopf
Canongate
W.W. Norton
Penguin Group
Barnes & Nobles Online
Farrar, Straus and Giroux
Atlantic Monthly Press
Yale University Press
Bartelby Press
[gina said] Ok...they will never talk to me...dammit...lol :)
ReplyDeleteGet back to work! You are disturbing the creative juices! lol
